During the European Juggling Convention, Belfast Circus School will be staging a series of two hour high quality workshops every day for five days (21st-25th July). These workshops give participants a taste of intensive, high-level training. The sessions are deisnged for young people with some experience of acrobatics and have a good level of fitness between the ages of 14-18. The sessions take place from 10am–12 noon every day.
About the workshops
The Advanced Youth Workshops are tumbling and adagio masterclasses for 13-18 year olds. A specialist team from Belfast Community Circus led by Australia's Flee O'Brien will be delivering a daily dose of fitness and acrobaticism for 2 hours a day Monday the 21st to Friday the 25th of the EJC. You will be working on handstands, conditioning, pyramids, doubles work and tumbling. All participants are expected to attend each of the five days from 10am- 12 noon. This is a taste of some serious circus for young people interested in undertaking intensive training in the future. It is an introduction to a series of intensive training sessions in Belfast following on from the EJC and running over the next three summers.
